September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025

Maximizing Value for Members

ASBA is dedicated to managing membership funds with the utmost care and efficiency. We produce annual financial statements for our member boards that undergo a rigorous audit process. We are pleased to share that our 2024-2025 financial statements received a clean audit, reflecting our commitment to financial integrity and transparency.

Member Insurance and Benefits

Through ASBA, member school boards and their employees have access to a health benefits plan, a supplemental pension plan for senior staff and a preferred rate for home and auto insurance.

Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan

Created in 1968, the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) provides employment benefits to the education sector.

Supplemental Integrated Pension Plan

School divisions may enroll in ASBA’s registered Supplemental Integrated Pension Plan (SiPP) if they choose to offer senior employees enhanced pension benefits. ASBA acts as plan sponsor, and the SiPP Governance Board, as Administrator, is responsible for the overall administration of the plan and investment management of assets. TELUS Health provides actuarial and pension administrative services to the Plan, and Manulife provides custodial and investment services.

TD Insurance Meloche Monnex

Our affinity program partner, TD Insurance is committed to providing ASBA members with access to preferred rates on home and car insurance.

Alberta School Boards Insurance Exchange

Effective October 31, 2020, the Alberta School Boards Insurance Exchange (ASBIE) is being wound down. ASBA will continue to appoint representatives to the ASBIE Advisory Board to oversee operations until the wind down process is complete.
