Our Board of Directors, elected by member board trustees, oversees the business and affairs of the Association to ensure it meets its mandate and the needs of members.
2024-2025 Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from Zones, Metro Boards and the Francophone Regional Authorities. Directors are ambassadors for ASBA, trusteeship and public education which is governed by member boards. They participate on ASBA committees, represent all Zone, Metro or Francophone board issues and provide input to the Board.

2024-2025 Committees
The Board of Directors has several committees. Standing Committees assist the Board with work of an ongoing nature and ad hoc committees assist the Board on a specific project for a period of time.
This Committee oversees daily operations, sets Board of Directors meeting priorities and acts on behalf of the Board in urgent or delegated matters, ensuring effective governance between regular meetings.

This Committee assists the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to financial and risk management matters. As this is a Committee of the Whole, all members of the Board of Directors serve on this Committee.
This Committee supports the Board of Directors in the review and development of ASBA Bylaws, Position Statements and Board Governance Policies. It oversees policy processes and recommends updates to ensure governance frameworks remain current and effective.

This Committee assists the Association in fulfilling its role in provincial-level advocacy. It provides strategic input on and monitors advocacy strategies as approved by the Board of Directors.

This Committee is tasked with providing recommendations to the Board of Directors on a range of topics including learning, policy, partnerships and legislation related to technology, innovation and Artificial Intelligence in education.
